KAI Divre III Palembang Achieved the Predicate of Informative Public Agency at the South Sumatra Public Information Openness Award

Palembang, 14 February 2026 – KAI Divre III Palembang won the title of Informative Public Agency for the BUMN category at the 2025 Public Information Openness Award. This award was given by the South Sumatra Regional Information Commission as a form of appreciation for KAI Divre III’s consistency in implementing public information openness.

The award was presented at the South Sumatra Regional Public Information Openness Award event, Friday (13/2) at the South Sumatra Governor’s Office. KAI Divre III Palembang received this title showing the company’s commitment to transparent and accountable information governance. In this event, KAI managed to achieve a score of 94.32.

KAI Divre III Palembang Public Relations Manager, Aida Suryanti said that this achievement reflects KAI’s commitment to implementing the principles of Good Corporate Governance, while ensuring equal access to public information for all levels of society. “KAI strives to provide inclusive public information openness services so that they can be accessed by all groups, including people with disabilities. Public information openness is a public right guaranteed by Law Number 14 of 2008 and is in line with the Republic of Indonesia Information Commission Regulation Number 1 of 2021 concerning Public Information Service Standards,” said Aida.

Aida explained that KAI was presenting various innovations to support the accessibility of public information services, including wheelchair access for the physically disabled to the KAI Divre III Palembang Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) office. For information applicants who access online, KAI has presented the PPID website with a special accessibility menu. This feature makes it easier for the general public and people with disabilities, and is equipped with service videos with sign language translators to help deaf people obtain public information.

“We present this innovation so that people with disabilities have equal opportunities to obtain public information, both through direct services in the office and through digital channels,” added Aida.

January to December 31 2025, the number of applicants for public information through PPID KAI Divre III was recorded at 25 people, with an average application completion time of seven working days, faster than the maximum requirement of 10 plus 7 working days.

“This award is a motivation for KAI Divre III Palembang to continue to improve the quality of public information services and present innovations that are relevant to community needs,” concluded Aida.
