MADIUN, 28 December 2025 – In order to ensure the safety and comfort of train travel during the 2025/2026 Christmas and New Year (Nataru) Transport period, KAI Daop 7 Madiun has increased overall security and guarding. This step is part of KAI’s commitment to continue providing public transportation services that are increasingly serving, especially in the midst of high public mobility during the year-end holidays.
KAI Daop 7 Madiun Public Relations Manager, Tohari, explained that increased security was carried out not only to maintain travel safety aspects, but also as a form of KAI’s presence in providing a sense of security, comfort and calm to all customers.
“Travel safety is our main priority. Through tighter security and humane service, KAI Daop 7 Madiun strives to provide a safe and comfortable travel experience as a form of increasingly serving the community during the Christmas period,” said Tohari.

Security at Stations and on Trains
In the station area, KAI internal security officers routinely carry out intensive patrols which include checking passenger luggage during the boarding process, monitoring passenger flow, and providing assistance when getting on and off the train. All of these steps are taken to ensure customers feel safe and well served.
Meanwhile, on the train, officers carry out regular patrols and advise customers to always look after their belongings. Checking CCTV functions in the train circuit is also carried out routinely as part of technology-based security, to support services that are increasingly serving and adapting to customer needs.
Supervision of railway lines and vulnerable points
Security is also focused on railway lines through regional guidance and supervision activities (Binwaswil), especially in locations prone to security and order disturbances. One of the patrol activities was carried out at the BH 658 KM 207+8/9 Bridge in the Papar–Purwoasri area.
Along with the school holidays, KAI Daop 7 Madiun pays special attention to community activities, especially children, around the train route.

KM 184+2/3 plot Magetan – Geneng
KM 119+4/5 Nganjuk – Bagor plot
KM 76+6/7 plot Sumobito – Peterongan (special monitoring area)
This effort was carried out as a preventive measure to maintain collective safety and support safe and smooth train travel.
Synergy with TNI and Polri
In supporting integrated security, KAI Daop 7 Madiun synergizes with various external parties. In the station area, security was carried out together with Denpom AD V/1 Madiun, Denpom AD V/2 Mojokerto, and the Madiun Garrison.
Railway route security is also strengthened through collaboration at 11 regional points involving elements of the TNI and Polri, including the Widodaren Police and Koramil, Geneng, Wilangan, Papar, Kediri City, as well as the Kediri Police Traffic Unit. This synergy is part of KAI’s commitment to providing transportation services that increasingly serve and are oriented towards public safety.

Lost and Found Service
As part of improving the quality of service to customers, KAI Daop 7 Madiun also continues to optimize Lost and Found services. During the Nataru Transport period, from 18 to 27 December 2025, 27 items were found, with details of 10 valuable items, 19 items in the ordinary category, and 5 items in the food category. Of this number, 16 items have been successfully returned to their owners.
“We urge customers to always be careful about their luggage. However, if something is lost, customers can immediately report it to the station officer or conductor. This Lost and Found service is part of KAI’s efforts to continue to better serve customers,” concluded Tohari.
Through integrated security, cross-agency synergy, and improving service quality, KAI Daop 7 Madiun hopes that all train trips during the 2025/2026 Nataru Transport period can be safe, smooth, and provide an increasingly better travel experience for the public.
